A great summer read!I want to tell you about a new book just out that should be a big hit with people who like fiction that deals with science (not Science Fiction!). Fragment by Warren Fahy picks up where Charles Darwin left off. A reality TV film crew stumbles upon an isolated island in the Pacific Ocean where evolution has gone off in a different direction from the rest of the world. This is speculative science in the tradition of speculative history novels. This is fast moving adventure writing with a very interesting scientific underlay. Not great literature, but a good story and a very original premise.
